Day 1  - Monday, June 18, 2012

Hi Everyone!!! The kids had a fantastic day.  We started off our morning with centers, followed by the Opening Assembly with the whole camp.  After snack recess, we read  Franklin Makes a New Friend where the kids learned about the importance of reaching out to people they don’t know, and the unexpected - but wonderful surprise that lies in making a new friend.  We made name crowns, and took a tour of the school!! After lunch, the kids did a drawing and dictation about 1.)My favorite part of the tour was . . .  or 2.) My favorite part of the day was . . .   We then had our first lesson in soccer, which was how to do the “push pass” and the kids practiced calling out their friends names while they passed the ball to each other.
